Casting Call: Aardfard's Treasure Hunt

Expressions of Interest: Character Actors
WhoDunnit Events is now inviting expressions of interest from confident improvisers and roving character actors for 2011 Adelaide Fringe production: "Aardfard's Treasure Hunt".

The Project
This is a real-life treasure hunt where players can form teams of up to 6, competing on- and off-line to find the treasure. On certain dates (see below) there will also be Live Events where 6 actors encourage their respective players (a group of up to 85) to complete fun tasks and try to win the most points for that day. Custom-made costumes will be provided to actors according to the theme: pirates / wenches / buccaneers / corsairs.
Various assistants/volunteers will also be required to assist with the smooth running of each event. No experience necessary.

Seeking Adults: any age, any accent/background to fill 6 roles (minimum 2 female & 2 male)
Seeking Kids: girls & boys, 11+, to help out / get involved
Adult volunteers also welcomed

Must be available for the following performance dates:
Sunday 20 Feb (daytime) - Live Event #1
Saturday 26 Feb (daytime) - Live Event #2
Thursday 3 March (evening) - Live Event #3
Sunday 13 March (daytime) - Closing Ceremony / Prizes Awarded
'Performances' will be 2-3 hours in duration. All 'performances' will be at different *secret* locations in/around central Adelaide.

Desirable:
Ability to write in-character for online forums; Feb 14-Mar 13. [applicable to 6 actors only]
Availability to do occasional, low-key promotion (eg: sitting at a cafe) during Feb 7 - Mar 6.
Availability to do in-character interviews with the media.

Rehearsals:
1 or 2 half-days in January or February. Date/s and times will be picked to fit with schedules of successful applicants.

Auditions:
Group auditions in Adelaide on Sunday 12 December. Melbourne auditions TBA.

What You Get Out Of It:
Fun, exposure, and unique performing experience. There will be a small guaranteed payment [acting roles only], but money should not be your primary objective. In addition to the set fee, profit share will be offered.

About The Company:
WhoDunnit Events has been creating interactive experiences since 2003. Best known for "Death By Chocolate: an interactive murder mystery with chocolate tasting" (Best Special Event 2007, Support Act recipient 2008, sold out Melbourne Fringe 2007, Adelaide Fringe 2008, Edinburgh Fringe 2008, Melbourne Food & Wine Festival 2010), this is a new project debuting in Adelaide. WhoDunnit Events is currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
