GENERAL INFORMATION
If you don’t already know what an IMMI is, or what WhoDunnit Events does, please look at our FAQ first. You can also read a randomly generated quartet of testimonials from previous actors HERE.
Information Just For Actors:
WhoDunnit Events’ IMMI’s generally run along these lines… there are 10 actors playing the roles of the suspects, and 30-70 audience members as detectives. Suspects and detectives mingle, cocktail style, in a room for one to three hours.
As a suspect, you may be bombard with questions from 15 people at once, or you may be left alone the whole time. You must stay in character no matter what, and answer all questions you are asked as your character would. You cannot lie, but you can avoid questions.
Our thorough rehearsal process will prepare you for all of this, and by performance time you will be able to entirely (100%) become another person. You will also be armed with a range of tactics for dealing with the audience.
All roles are major roles, and casts tend to form close knit teams. There is no script, nor set events, only a detailed knowledge of your character and your ability to stay in character.
What We Look For:
We look for actors with an ability to improvise AND an ability to undertake deep character work. These two abilities are equally important.
We are interested in actors with all levels of experience, from all backgrounds, all ages… everyone is welcome here. Your ability to perform our unique concept is what we’re looking for. And we can only know if you can do it if we see you audition.
